PRACTICE 4: THE HEART AND LUNGS DISSECTION
In this practice we we procedure to do and see the anatomy of the lungs and trachea and the external structure of the heart and the internal anatomy of also the heart. ANATOMY OF THE LUNGS AND TRACHEA We inflate the lung First of all we put a straw into the trachea and we tried to inflate the lungs. We achieve it but just a bit. After, we cut a piece of the lung and we tried if we could inflate however because of the orifice we couldn´t. We also cut the trachea making it open so we could see perfectly the passegeway of the air through the lungs. trachea EXTERNAL STRUCTURE OF THE HEART The heart was already separated from other organs so we didn´t have to do this. We could see the different tubules (ventricles and arteries) that were entering and exiting in the heart. We use the scissors to cut through the side of the pulmonary artery and cutting down into the wall of the right ventricle. Then we opened the heart to see the internal structure....
